Nashville recording artist Lynn Bryant is very passionate when it comes to children and their education. For that reason Lynn is extending her Learning For Life program for children at St. Pius X Elementary School in Nashville to include music. The program, for first through sixth graders, takes place three days a week after school and beginning on October 19th one day will be dedicated to teaching the children about music.

“Music is an integral part of my life,” said Lynn, “And every child should have the opportunity for music education. Budgets are preventing kids all over the country from experiencing music programs, so I thought it was time to do what little I could to help better the situation and extended the Learning for Life program to include music.”

For the program, Bryant solicited the assistance of John Saenz, St. Pius X’s principal. He possesses a Masters in Music and Performance and was the obvious choice to lead the program and to instruct the kids.

“I believe the Learning for Life Music Program is vital to helping these children realize their gifts and to draw out their individual talent. Through this amazing after school music program students will be enticed to aspire to become more than they thought possible and will help empower them to go after their dreams,” says Saenz.

The Learning For Life program is hands-on as Lynn believes that when the kids are interactive with their teacher there is a better chance for understanding what they are being taught. In keeping with that idea Lynn has scheduled industry professionals to come in and speak to the children. They will be given voice lessons, performance coaching, and tips on how to write a song. Lynn went as far as to schedule a hip-hop Christian artist to speak to the children about using positive messages in music.

“I am truly excited about this program because it will not only enhance the children’s education but will also get them “in touch” with themselves in a really fun and
meaningful way through music,” says Lynn.
