Through the generosity of Lynn Bryant, a Nashville recording artist, Give Back to Humanity (GBTH) has started a new program in Jaipur, India called Empowering India’s Youth. Bryant, Founder of her non-profit, Nancy Ferro Learning for Life, has made a lifelong commitment to providing assistance, encouragement, and skills to young people around the world as they prepare to become productive citizens where they live.
As students complete their primary and secondary education, Ms. Bryant believes the next step is mentoring them as they prepare to secure well-paying jobs in the local community. Empowering India’s Youth is designed to be a comprehensive, impactful program through which professional consultants will assist students currently living in a Jaipur slum neighborhood as they learn the requisite skills needed to develop resumes, interview for jobs, and grow professionally in the employment they ultimately achieve. The focus will be on areas where job opportunities are locally prevalent, such as computer science, management, English language arts, retail, and finance.
Beyond just the instructional phase of Empowering India’s Youth, the program will assist enrollees in the process of securing gainful employment. Success will be measured not only by the number of students who find employment but the sharing of their own stories of success as encouragement for future candidates who seek the same life-long empowerment.
Ms. Bryant believes that self-worth, a sense of purpose, and the fulfillment of each person’s innate desire to achieve greatness is a model for success no matter the individual’s living circumstances or culture. By focusing on young people in one of India’s most needy communities, the Give Back to Humanity organization and Ms. Bryant believe these youths will shine brightest as India’s best. Give Back to Humanity is supremely grateful to Ms. Bryant for her generosity and support in this very worthy endeavor.
Give Back to Humanity, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Bluffton, South Carolina, was founded in 2008 by Tom Lynch and his wife, Dr. Nancy Lynch as a way to give back to people in need around the world. The organization currently has school-building and support projects in Belize, Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, and India.
